Rescuers of the MIA of Armenia have completed training in the course “Organization and Specific Features of Conducting Search and Rescue Operations in Water Areas.” As part of the training, participants practiced actions during rescue operations at water sites, including work on mountain rivers with fast currents and difficult terrain. Particular attention was paid to safety issues, rope work, and the evacuation of victims using rope crossings.

The course program also included training for UAV`s operators. The rescuers practiced the use of UAV`s for surveying hard-to-reach areas and water bodies, searching for victims, and transmitting the coordinates of their location to the headquarters.

Such training courses allow rescuers to improve practical skills for working in difficult conditions and to strengthen coordination between different units during search and rescue operations.
