Armenian Demining Specialists Undergo Training at RACHR

The «Training of Humanitarian Demining Specialists» program for Armenian rescuers is continuing at RACHR. The training is conducted by instructors from the Saint Petersburg University of EMERCOM of Russia.
During the theoretical part of the program, the rescuers study various types of ammunition and improvised explosive devices, the basics of demining, safety regulations for explosive operations, as well as procedures for organizing and conducting operations.
The practical part of the training takes place both at RACHR and at specialized training grounds using training ammunition. Among other activities, RACHR specialists used UAVs to analyze the possibilities of detecting explosives with thermal imaging cameras, as well as to assess the prospects for the use of UAVs in humanitarian demining operations.
