Educational work

RACHR implements educational and awareness-raising initiatives aimed at fostering a culture of safety and emergency preparedness among various population groups.
The Center’s instructors regularly conduct off-site training sessions, lectures, and workshops for employees, students, and schoolchildren, combining theoretical training with practical exercises.
First Aid and Emergency Response Training
One of the key areas is training in the fundamentals of first aid and response algorithms in emergency situations. The sessions include practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding control, assistance in case of injuries, and response to sudden medical emergencies.
Such programs are implemented both for employees of organizations and for students of educational institutions, increasing the level of preparedness for emergency situations.
Practical Fire Safety Training
Significant attention is given to developing proper behavior in case of fires. During the sessions, participants study the causes of fires, evacuation procedures, and the use of primary firefighting equipment.
The practical component includes simulation of smoke-filled environments using safe artificial smoke and the conduct of training evacuations, allowing participants to practice actions in conditions close to real-life scenarios. Particular emphasis is placed on confidence and rapid response during the initial minutes of an emergency.
Work with Children and Youth
The Center actively implements educational programs for school and university students in cooperation with Rossotrudnichestvo and educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia.
The training covers:
– fundamentals of fire safety and behavior in emergency situations
– basic first aid skills
– safety rules in natural environments, including mountainous terrain
– introduction to modern rescue technologies, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
The format of the sessions is engagement-oriented and includes interactive elements, practical exercises, simulations, and team-based tasks.
Additional Educational Initiatives
RACHR implements joint programs with educational and public organizations aimed at the practical training of young people. These include introductory tourism and outdoor skills training, rope work and basic rescue techniques, as well as field-based training sessions.
The Center regularly conducts open lessons for school students of various age groups and consistently expands the geographical scope of its educational activities across the regions of the Republic of Armenia.
RACHR Open Days
RACHR regularly holds open days events, inviting organized groups of school pupils, students, representatives of organizations, and international partners to learn about the Center’s activities and the capabilities of its training facilities.
These events are an important part of outreach efforts and are aimed at promoting a culture of safety, the profession of rescuer, and modern emergency response technologies.
Event Format
The open days program combines guided tours and practical activities, allowing participants not only to observe the Center’s work but also to try themselves in the role of a rescuer.
As part of the program, participants:
- explore the Center’s training infrastructure;
- take part in fire safety workshops;
- complete elements of height training, including a climbing wall, zip-lines, and rope crossings;
- study equipment and vehicles used in emergency response, including practical exercises related to road traffic accident response;
- get acquainted with modern technologies, including the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and their operation on simulators.
Participants are also introduced to specialized training areas, including the use of avalanche equipment and rescue operations in various environments.
Practical Focus
A key feature of these events is participant engagement. All major elements of the program are built around hands-on activities — from extinguishing a simulated fire to working with equipment and vehicles. This format helps develop an understanding of safe behavior principles and provides participants with real-life experience in emergency situations.
Audience and Partners
The Center hosts school and university students from the Republic of Armenia, representatives of educational and public organizations, members of patriotic and youth movements, as well as representatives of Russian institutions and international partners.
The events are held on a regular basis and are often aligned with commemorative dates as well as the Center’s own initiatives, including the anniversary of RACHR and professional holidays.
Invitation to Participate
RACHR is open to cooperation and is always ready to welcome organized groups for open house events.
