RACHR delegation attended a conference in Yerevan

A delegation of the Russian-Armenian Center for Humanitarian Response took part in the conference “Spitak Earthquake. A Tragedy that United Nations,” held at the Moscow House in Yerevan. The event was attended by representatives of the Government of Moscow and Moscow rescue units, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, as well as relevant agencies and international organizations. The conference served as a platform for the exchange of experience and discussion of cooperation in emergency response.
Armen Oganian, Director of the Center, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of developing cooperation between the rescue services of the two countries as a basis for improving response effectiveness and ensuring public safety.
In turn, Co-Director of the Center Alexey Butyrsky presented the key areas of the Center’s activities and its ongoing projects, focusing on specialist training, joint exercises, and humanitarian cooperation. The participants also discussed prospects for further interaction.
