8 May 2026

A training course on road traffic collision (RTC) response operations has been completed at RACHR for rescuers of the MIA of Armenia.
The theoretical component covered operational algorithms, the use of hydraulic and pneumatic rescue tools, and equipment for casualty extrication. Particular attention was given to hybrid and electric vehicles and the associated hazards for rescue personnel.
The practical module included drills on complex RTC scenarios, including the evacuation of a casualty from a vehicle located in a ravine using rope access techniques. Special emphasis was placed on incident management tactics and role allocation within the team, improving operational efficiency and reducing response times.
