A RACHR instructor conducted a training course on “Emergency Rescue Operations in Road Traffic Accidents” for rescuers from Armenia’s Syunik Region. The training focused on developing practical response skills and enhancing the operational readiness of rescue units.

During the theoretical session, participants studied response algorithms for emergency rescue operations, as well as the specifics of using extrication equipment for vehicle dismantling, access creation, and victim extraction. Special attention was given to modern vehicle technologies, including the design features of hybrid and electric vehicles and the associated risks during rescue operations.

The practical module involved hands-on training in complex road traffic accident scenarios. In particular, rescuers carried out the evacuation of a casualty from a vehicle trapped in a ravine: they stabilized the vehicle and used rope rescue equipment for descent and subsequent evacuation. The acquired skills are intended to improve response effectiveness and reduce the time required to provide assistance to casualties.
