Armenian Rescuers Complete INSARAG-Based Training at RACHR

A training course for Armenian rescuers has been completed at the Russian-Armenian Center for Humanitarian Response under the program “Conducting Search and Rescue Operations in Collapsed Buildings and Structures in Accordance with the INSARAG Methodology.”
During the course, participants studied rubble classification, methods for stabilizing and reinforcing damaged structures, as well as the key INSARAG approaches to Urban Search and Rescue (USAR). The practical component included hands-on training in the construction of shoring systems and the stabilization of structural elements within collapsed buildings.
The knowledge and skills acquired during the training will support the preparation of the Armenian Urban Search and Rescue Team for INSARAG external classification, which confirms compliance with international standards for search and rescue operations in urban disaster environments.
