RACHR Conducted Road Traffic Collision Rescue Training

From 24 to 28 August, RACHR hosted a training course on “Rescue Operations in Road Traffic Collisions.” The training was attended by 12 Armenian rescuers.

The program combined theoretical and practical training. Participants studied rescue operation procedures, the use of hydraulic and pneumatic rescue tools, and equipment for the extrication and removal of casualties. Attention was paid to the fundamentals of first aid for road traffic collision casualties, as well as the specific features and associated risks of working with hybrid and electric vehicles.

The practical sessions covered a range of road traffic collision scenarios, including operations involving a vehicle overturned onto its side and the evacuation of a casualty from a vehicle located in a ravine. Rope rescue techniques and technical rope rescue equipment were used in complex scenarios to stabilize the vehicle, gain access to the casualty, and carry out the subsequent evacuation.
