RACHR took part in the International Volunteer Search and Rescue Team Meeting

An employee from our Center participated in the International Volunteer Search and Rescue Meeting, which took place in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The event was organized by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children with the support of the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.
More than 500 volunteers from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia and Russia improved their skills in searching for people in the natural environment. The exercises also involved canine teams and a mounted patrol.
Participants were trained in cartography, radio communications, terrain orientation, search tactics and first aid. The final stage was a large-scale search exercise in a forest area covering more than 100 square kilometers.
For two days, including at night, searchers practiced searching for missing persons in various scenarios, providing first aid, and evacuating victims. All training sessions were conducted under the guidance of instructors from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and were designed to closely mimic real-life search and rescue operations.
