RACHR participates in preparing Armenian rescuers for INSARAG reclassification

Ahead of the reclassification of the Search and Rescue Team of the Rescue Service of the MIA of Armenia, planned for 2028, specialists from RACHR provided training for rescuers and medical personnel on international emergency response in accordance with the INSARAG methodology.
Armenian rescuers had previously undergone international classification for conducting search and rescue operations abroad.
At the RACHR facilities, rescuers received specialized training in conducting rescue operations in collapsed structures and destroyed buildings, while medical personnel completed a course on providing medical assistance in particularly challenging conditions, including work in confined spaces.
From 10 to 12 August, international specialists assessed the team’s readiness for international emergency response. RACHR also provided specialized equipment for the practical component of the assessment, which took place on 12 August at the training ground in Gyumri.
