Armenian rescuers master the use of UAVs in search and rescue operations

A training course on “Search and Rescue Operations in Mountainous Forest Areas” was completed in Aragatsotn region. It was organized by instructors from RACHR for personnel from regional rescue units.
The course focused on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in search and rescue operations. Participants learned methods of aerial reconnaissance, searching for simulated victims in hard-to-reach areas, and transmitting the obtained data to headquarters for the coordination of rescue teams.
In addition, the rescuers honed their rope handling skills, learned the basics of topography and navigation, radio communication, signaling methods, and first aid procedures. Practical exercises included crossing natural obstacles, evacuating victims, and performing rescue missions in rugged mountainous terrain.
