Armenian rescuers to patrol Sevan Lake using RACHR equipment

Since July 1, the Water Patrol Service and the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia have switched to a heightened alert mode to ensure safety and public order on Lake Sevan in connection with the beach season.
Armenian rescuers use Russian-made equipment, transferred by the RACHR to the relevant units of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, to patrol the lake’s waters. This equipment includes inflatable boats and Corvette 500 launches, breathing apparatus and diving suits, devices for searching for victims and radio stations, as well as other special equipment.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia and the RACHR warn about the need to observe safety rules when using watercraft and operating motorboats, as well as not to swim while intoxicated with alcohol or drugs, showing responsibility towards others.
