UAV. Advanced course

This week, instructors from our Center conducted training sessions with pilots of the rescue service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

The training was aimed at in-depth study of the capabilities of unmanned aircraft systems during rescue operations.

Students were introduced to software for performing automatic flights to predetermined coordinates. Based on the data obtained, we learned to build detailed three-dimensional maps of search and rescue areas and perform spatial measurements on them. Techniques for searching for victims and fires using laser rangefinders and thermal imaging cameras were also developed. The received coordinates were transmitted to the search and rescue operations headquarters in a “live” mode.
