International exhibition “Eurasia is our home”

The Russian-Armenian Center of Humanitarian Response is participating in the international exhibition of cooperation projects “Eurasia is Our Home” under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. The exhibition is being held in Sochi from June 7 to 9, and coincides with the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS as part of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The main theme of the exhibition is educational activities, and the Center is working in collaboration with leading universities of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as professional training centres, and developing its own training programmes.

“The Russian-Armenian Center of Humanitarian Response is a good integration project, the experience, knowledge, technologies that our friends and comrades in the Eurasian community have accumulated help us save lives,” said Vladimir Solovyov, Director of the International Activities Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the exhibition, the Center presented a multifunctional training complex for conducting rescue skills training in remote fire and rescue units.
“It consists of several modules aimed at carrying out a wide range of tasks, including working with rescue tools in cramped conditions, the work of firefighters and gas and smoke protectors, simulating an emergency in a fuel and lubricants warehouse, an improved simulator complex for working at height with rope access, and much more,” said Evgenii Gorelov, representative of the Russian-Armenian Center of Humanitarian Response.
The new training complex will begin operating this month and will become a platform for improving the practical skills of rescuers and firefighters.
