RACHR participated in the development of a first aid manual for emergency situations

RACHR took part in the development of the manual “First Aid in Emergency Response Operations during the Elimination of Consequences of Emergencies.” The guide was developed by the Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy of the State Fire Service of Emercom of Russia with the involvement of field practitioners. The team of authors included Anatoli Morozov, Head of the Response and Professional Training Department of the RACHR.

The publication is a practice-oriented methodological guide containing clear algorithms of action for the most common life-threatening conditions. The manual provides detailed guidance on first aid for gunshot wounds and injuries, frostbite, poisoning, and other critical conditions, as well as procedures for preparing victims for evacuation. Special attention is given to algorithms for providing psychological support in stressful situations.

The participation of RACHR specialists in the development of this publication was driven by the need to systematize modern approaches to first aid in emergency conditions and to enhance the operational readiness of rescue units. The practical value of the manual lies in its applied nature: the algorithms are designed for use in real-life situations, where speed of decision-making and clarity of actions are crucial.

The manual has already been integrated into the Center’s training process. The first group of Armenian rescuers has completed training using this guide, which made it possible to further develop first aid skills in conditions closed to real-life situations.
