RACHR hosted national competitions among units of the Rescue Service of the MIA of Armenia for the title of “Best Fire and Smoke Protectors Team.”
A total of 12 teams participated in the competition, representing all regions of the country as well as the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. Competitions of this format have been held for the first time in recent years.
The competition program included three stages: extinguishing a fire and evacuating a victim, completing a course in an enclosed space with zero visibility, and providing first aid.
According to the results, the team of the Yerevan garrison took first place. The second place was awarded to the team from Armavir region, while the third place went to the team from Kotayk region.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs — Director of the Rescue Service, Co-Chairman of the RACHR Board Aram Kazaryan, as well as his deputies Tigran Petrosyan and Arsen Mkrtchan, who presented commemorative trophies to the winners.
Such competitions are aimed at enhancing the professional training of rescuers, practicing operations in complex conditions, and strengthening cooperation between units.
