During a visit to Moscow to participate in a meeting of the RACHR Board, the Center’s management, along with a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, led by A.G. Kazaryan, Deputy Minister, Director of the Rescue Service, and Co-Chairman of the RACHR Board, visited several key institutions of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The delegation learned about the activities of the National Center for Combating the Disasters of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, including monitoring, forecasting, and coordinating emergency response. The delegation also visited the “Leader” Center for Specialized Emergency Response and the State Fire Service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, where they were presented with approaches to training specialists, technical equipment, and the organization of rescue operations.
Furthermore, the Center’s co-director and deputy co-director participated in a meeting of the RACHR Board, where a report was presented on the measures taken by the Directorate to improve participation in humanitarian operations.
During the discussion, the need to strengthen cooperation with volunteer organizations, as well as to develop collaboration with countries in the Middle East and North Africa in the area of rescue training, was noted.
