RACHR held an Open Day to mark Defender of the Fatherland Day. Guests included employees of the Russian diplomatic mission in Armenia and their children, service members of the 102nd Russian Military Base, members of the Young Army, and members of the “Young Friends of Border Guards” movement.
The children were given fire safety workshops, hands-on training with fire extinguishers, climbing wall exercises, and ziplining. They were also introduced to avalanche safety equipment.
The training vehicle used for road accident rescue training generated particular interest. The children eagerly explored its interior: they got behind the wheel, opened the doors, and stayed close to it throughout the day.
Information about the event, featuring live demonstrations of the activities, was presented at a weekly conference call with representatives of the Operational departments of the CIS emergency agencies, where the young guests congratulated the rescuers on the upcoming holiday.
