On the instructions of the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, the ministry’s delegation was led by Deputy Minister Vyacheslav Butko.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia, Sergey Kopyrkin, at which the current state and prospects of cooperation in civil defense and humanitarian response were discussed. The key role of the Russian-Armenian Humanitarian Response Center was noted.
The Russian delegation also held a working meeting with the head of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Aram Ghazaryan. The Center’s co-director, Alexey Butyrsky, presented a report on its activities for 2025. Current cooperation and the further development of the partnership were discussed.
Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations employees honored the memory of those who fell in the Great Patriotic War in Yerevan’s Victory Park and visited the Center’s base, where they were briefed on its facilities and the progress of joint exercises.
