On October 23, our Center held an Open Day to mark National Unity Day in Russia. Elementary school students from Yerevan School No. 21 of the Russian Ministry of Defense and schoolchildren from the village of Getargel participated.
Our staff organized a tour of the Center’s grounds for the children and demonstrated the equipment and tools used in rescue training.
The students then learned about the causes of household fires, practiced putting out an open fire with a fire extinguisher, and tried their hand at a rock climbing range, using climbing equipment to traverse from the top floor of a building to the ground.
The guests paid special attention to UAVs, learned about their capabilities, applications, and technical specifications, and practiced flying them on a flight simulator. At the end of the program, our Center’s instructors gave everyone a ride on ATVs.
