Armenian rescuers completed a basic mountain training course

Our Center’s new training program, “Search and Rescue Operations in Mountainous and Forested Areas,” concluded in Armenia’s Aragotsotn region where 12 rescuers from the regional garrison participated.

The program included theoretical and practical modules, during which rescuers acquired skills in examining a victim in the mountains for injuries, providing first aid, and transporting the victim over rough terrain without the use of special equipment.

A report on the program’s progress, including a live demonstration of training sessions, as well as interactions between rescuers, a UAV operator, and the RACHR task crew on ATVs, was presented at a weekly conference call with representatives from the Crisis Management departments of the CIS emergency services.
