At the end of the first week of the training program “Conducting emergency rescue operations in rubble, destroyed buildings and structures”, rescuers from the ICDO member countries applied the knowledge they had acquired during a night training session.
According to the scenario, they had to evacuate victims who were under blockage. Considering that the work was carried out at night, the rescuers first organized lighting of the work site, and then using various emergency rescue tools, ladders and mountaineering equipment began searching and rescuing.
The operation lasted more than two hours, and as a result, the victims were found and evacuated from the blockage. The RACHR instructors positively assessed the teamwork of the foreign rescuers and recognized the night training as effective for practicing the acquired skills.
