Employees of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia have undergone training at our Center under the program “Conducting emergency rescue operations in destroyed buildings and structures.”
During the theoretical part, 12 rescuers became familiar with the basics of the INSARAG methodology in urban search and rescue, studied the classification of blockages, as well as algorithms for providing first aid for injuries of various types.
The practical part of the training included working with hydraulic and pneumatic tools, tasks to unblock victims, punch openings in reinforced concrete structures and overcome obstacles in cramped conditions.
The acquired knowledge and practical experience of working in conditions of man-made rubble will allow Armenian rescuers to conduct search operations more effectively.
