The training of K9 units of the Rescue Service of the MIA of Armenia under the advanced training program “Search in rubble, including bodies of victims and drowned people” was completed at RACHR. It was conducted by instructors from the Stavropol regional branch of the “Russian Union of Rescuers”.
Over the course of 3 weeks, Armenian cynologists became familiar with various methods of organizing and conducting search and rescue operations using specially trained dogs and improved practical training skills that are necessary for an effective search for victims.
The trainers’ focus was on practicing the interaction between the cynologist and the dog during the search operation, as well as practicing the quality of the signal behavior of the service dog. The practical experience gained will allow Armenian rescuers to conduct search operations more effectively.
