RACHR organized training of Armenian rescue divers in Russia

Five Armenian rescuers completed a training on the topic of “Diving” from February 17 to 28. The training took place at the Civil Defense Academy of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia with the RACHR`s support.

The program was aimed at deepening knowledge and skills of diving, including the basics of classification of diving diseases, rules for providing first aid, the specific effects of depth on the diver’s body, as well as the use of special equipment and gear.

During the practical part the participants practiced diving skills, searching for sunken objects, raising them to the surface, helping victims and organizing work underwater in various conditions. Upon completion of the training, the head of the Academy, Lieutenant General Viktor Panchenkov, gave the Armenian rescuers certificates of advanced training.
