RACHR held an Open Day

On February 27, RACHR held an Open Day dedicated to the Defender of the Fatherland Day. From the very morning the Center’s team was happy to welcome guests. The first group to arrive were children from the public-patriotic movement “Young Friends of Border Guards”. Our instructors introduced the children to the basics of searching for and rescuing people caught in an avalanche.

At the same time, our friends from the Armenian Mountaineering Federation practiced organizing rescue operations in the mountains using the training complex’s simulators.

In the afternoon, the Center was visited by friends of Rossotrudnichestvo – heads of schools, organizations and universities, representative of Rosatom in Armenia, the director of the House of Moscow in Yerevan, the director of the House of Russian Book, representatives of the military attaché of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, the rector of the Academy of Justice of Armenia and others.

Visitors learned about the capabilities of the Center during a short tour and learned about special equipment used both for training rescuers and in search and rescue operations.

The guests practiced putting out an open fire with a fire extinguisher and learned why you can’t put out a hot frying pan with water and tried their hand at a rock-climbing simulator, crossing from the top floor of the building to the ground.

The guests traditionally paid special attention to UAV, learnt about their capabilities, areas of application and technical characteristics and practiced controlling drones on a flight simulator.
