Armenian climbers completed training at RACHR

Members of the Federation of Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism of Armenia completed training at our Center on the topic of “Conducting search and rescue operations in mountainous and forested areas.”

As part of the training program, Armenian climbers were introduced to various methods of using mountaineering equipment considering the specifics of rescue operations on difficult terrain. The issues of tactics and safety of the work, as well as navigation and communication during their implementation were discussed.

Last year, RACHR and the Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation signed a cooperation agreement, which provides for the holding of trainings and seminars, as well as the exchange of experience in the prevention and elimination of emergencies.
