The delegation of the Center headed by Director Alexei Butyrskii visited Arkhangelsk, where took part in the interdepartmental exercises “Safe Arctic – 2025”.
Apart from the exercises where rescuers practiced actions in dozens of different situations, the participants viewed an exhibition of Russian made emergency rescue equipment, which could be used in winter in the difficult terrain of Armenia and took part in a plenary session where the main challenges and new threats to security in the Arctic were discussed.
On the second day, the RACHR staff took part in an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to current issues in the development of emergency response.
The exercises are being held to improve interdepartmental cooperation in responding to emergencies in the Russian Arctic on the instructions of the President of Russia.
