Training program “Fundamentals of UAV piloting”

The development of new technologies in the field of public security is inextricably linked with the use of unmanned aircraft, which is a useful tool for reconnaissance, search and obtaining objective information to assess the consequences of emergency situations.
Within the framework of cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, on the basis of the Russian-Armenian Center of Humanitarian Response, training sessions were held from April 25 to May 6 with rescuers representing different regions of Armenia on the topic “Fundamentals of Piloting Unmanned Aerial Vehicles”.
The program was developed by specialists of the RACHR on the basis of the equipment available in the Fire and Rescue Squads of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
During the training program, students got acquainted with the history of the development of unmanned aerial systems, safety precautions when using them, flight theory, software, regulations governing the use of UAVs, and also gained extensive practical experience that allows them to look with confidence into the future development of this area in within the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.
