On February 9, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan visited the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations to get familiarized with the results of implementation of priority tasks and implementation of activities in 2017, as well as tasks for 2018. Emergency Minister Davit Tonoyan first introduced to the head of the government the level of technical equipment of the Ministry, including technical means that are located in the RACHR and were transferred to the Ministry during the past and current year.
Davit Tonoyan, Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, noted that thanks to international cooperation, the Ministry was able to significantly modernize the technical equipment of the rescue service not only with modern but also unique devices that exist only in Armenia (for example, a caterpillar all-terrain vehicle, complex “Struna – 2”, which allows you to check the strength of buildings and structures). The minister stressed that the equipment acquired will allow reacting to various disasters not only in Armenia, but also at the regional level.
