International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia “Rescue and diving operations in the Arctic”

On February 16-17, 2023, the international scientific and practical conference of the Russian Emergencies Ministry “Rescue and diving operations in the Arctic” was held, organized on the basis of the departmental Arctic Rescue Educational and Scientific Center “Vytegra”.

The conference brought together about three hundred specialists, a third of them are divers and divers. Representatives of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia took part in the conference. The work of the four sections is organized with the participation of manufacturers of machinery, gear and equipment, as well as representatives of the scientific community.
The issues of developing a system for ensuring integrated security, technical equipment and infrastructure for rescue and diving units for working in harsh climatic conditions were considered in detail.

Attention was paid to the peculiarities of technologies for diving, rescue and deep-sea operations at low temperatures, as well as a practice-oriented approach to the training of rescuers and divers.

Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Head of the Water Rescue Team Chzmachyan Armen and Deputy Head of the Department for Population Protection and Risk Reduction Dashyan Armen, took part in the conference remotely, with the help of the equipment of the operational management department of the RACHR.
