In the period from October 25 to 28, the instructors of our Center conducted a training on “Rescue work in the rubble” for the specialists of the Armenian Red Cross Society.
The trainees learned how to use hydraulic, hydrodynamic and pneumatic tools in the rubble. We got acquainted with autonomous means of supplying electricity and lighting. We put into practice specialized means for the evacuation of victims from the upper floors of destroyed buildings.
The practical part of the training included tasks on releasing victims, making openings in structures, overcoming obstacles in cramped conditions, and extracting victims from under the rubble. The lifting and moving of structural elements were also worked out, using a set of special accessories and a crane-manipulator installation of an emergency rescue vehicle.
