Innovative ways to extinguish large fires

On April 12-16, the Russian-Armenian Center оf Humanitarian Response organized and conducted a training on the topic “Innovative ways to extinguish large fires in urban areas (high-rise buildings)” on the basis of the State Academy of Anti-Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia. The classes were conducted by specialists from the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Deputy Head of the Institute, Military Colonel Shkursky Dmitry Stanislavovich and Associate Professor of the Department of Fire Tactics and Service Educational and Scientific Complex of Fire Fighting, Ph.D. military colonel Danilov Mikhail Mikhailovich.
10 rescuers from the Yerevan Fire and Rescue Service took part in the training.
Questions were worked out on the topics “Portable fire extinguishers with dust, foam, gas”, “Use of helicopters and drones to extinguish fires in high-rise buildings”, “Methods for evacuating people from the upper floors of high-rise buildings”, “Firefighters and rescuers in high-rise buildings”, “Examples of fires in multi-storey buildings with ventilated facades”, “Search for fires”, “Forecast of fires in multi-storey buildings and the possibility of safe evacuation of people”, etc.
The specialists who completed the training course were awarded certificates of advanced training from the Academy of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
